Why Google Play now requires this
Since 2024, the Google Play Child Safety Standards policy has required any app with social, dating, or user-to-user messaging surfaces to publish a public page describing how it prevents and responds to Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation (CSAE / AESI). The page must be reachable at a public URL filed inside Google Play Console. Apps that miss this step are blocked from publishing updates until the URL is supplied.
What the generated page contains
- Definition of CSAE / AESI in line with NCMEC and INTERPOL guidance
- Prohibited content and behaviour list
- In-app reporting flow description and turnaround time
- Cooperation with NCMEC, INHOPE, and local law enforcement
- Annual review cadence
- Direct contact email for urgent reports
